My name is Becky. I’m a follower of Christ, fitness enthusiast, wife and mother.
Faith: I began my faith journey as a young child. My parents would take me to church almost every Sunday and sometimes during the week, pray with me during meals and at bedtime.
But I didn’t quite understand what it meant to follow Jesus until I accepted Him as my Savior when I was 13 years old. My dad shared with me the scripture, John 3:16, which states: 16 For God loved the world in this way:[a] He gave[b] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
Fitness: My parents always loved to stay active. I remember first learning how to downhill ski at the age of 5 at Big Sky Ski Resort near Bozeman, Montana.
I loved Skiing! It was so fun, and a little bit scary. I enjoyed being in nature and the quiet sounds of snow crunching as I flew down the hill.
This is where my love for exercise began. Since my childhood I have participated in the following physical fitness activities:
- Ice Skating
- Roller Skating
- Water Skiing
- Knee Boarding
- Bike Riding
- Ballet
- Gymnastics/Tumbling
- Basketball
- Aerobics
- Hiking
- Swimming
- Volleyball
- Track & Field
- Bowling – ok, not very physical
- weight lifting
- Tennis
- Golf
- Zumba
- Yoga
- HIIT
- Kickboxing
- Running
As you can see, I’ve done A LOT of various sports. I would say I’m best at Volleyball (lettered in High School) and Dance Aerobics. I’m not so great at Yoga (not very flexible) and Tennis (lack the hand eye coordination).
My favorite physical activities are Hiking and Zumba. My least favorites are running and Yoga.
I have felt God calling me into a ministry of Health and Wellness. I feel our spiritual life should be connected to our physical life. Many times people trying to compartmentalize everything, but I feel this doesn’t allow for true growth.
Thank you for visiting my website and I pray it blesses you!
